This dog is very agreeable and outgoing. It's temperament makes it a great dog that is suitable for sledding and to aid in therapy work.

A Siberian husky's coat is thicker than most breeds of dogs. It's top coat is also longer and more coarse than most breeds to protect against the effects of cold weather.

This breed of dog was born pack dog, which means it enjoys being part of a family and gets along well with other dogs. They are extremely energetic and have known to be part of the Iditarod sled dog race that takes place in Alaska every year.

If you live in the Chicago-land area there is the Siberian Husky Club of Greater Chicago if you happen to own a husky and are interested in learning more about the breed. Their next event is on January 10th, where they will be hosting Musher Mania in Monee, Illinois from 12-4 pm.
